ASO-S satellite passed the plan stage development summary and preliminary sample design review

On the afternoon of April 28, 2019, the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a review meeting of the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S, Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory) satellite program phase development summary and preliminary design report review meeting in Beijing. A total of more than 60 people from the Major Science and Technology Mission Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Supervision Department, the engineering general, specially invited experts, and major system engineering and management personnel attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Chi, director of the National Space Science Center, head of the space science (Phase II) pilot project, and deputy commander-in-chief of ASO-S satellite engineering.

The meeting review committee is composed of experts from the Eighth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Space Science Center. The meeting listened to the "Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) Satellite Program Phase Development Summary" and the "Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) Satellite Preliminary Design Report" prepared by the satellite system. After inquiries and discussions, the review committee It is believed that the ASO-S satellite has completed the plan phase design and key technology research work, the initial sample design is reasonable and feasible, the satellite technology status is clear, and the development technology process is reasonable, and it is agreed to pass the review.
