EP and ASO-S satellite engineering project comprehensive demonstration and arrangement meeting was held in Beijing

On November 30, the Major Science and Technology Mission Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a special space science strategic pilot technology project (referred to as the space science pilot project) Einstein Probe (EP) and Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) satellites in Beijing. Comprehensive demonstration and arrangement meeting for project approval. From the Launch and Recovery Division of the Staff Department of the Aerospace System Department, the Measurement and Communication Institute, the Engineering Design Institute of the Aerospace System Department, the Xi'an Satellite Measurement and Control Center, the Aerospace Department of Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Great Wall Corporation, the First and the Eighth Institute, the Fourth Institute of the Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, China Leaders and experts from the Major Science and Technology Mission Bureau of the Academy of Sciences, Microsatellite Innovation Research Institute, Purple Mountain Observatory, National Astronomical Observatory, Nanjing Institute of Astronomy, Remote Sensing and Digital Earth Research Institute, and National Space Science Center attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Junping, Director of the Optoelectronics Aerospace Division of the Major Science and Technology Mission Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The EP project team and the ASO-S project team of the National Astronomical Observatory and the Purple Mountain Observatory respectively made reports on scientific goals and payload configuration plans, as well as preliminary technical indicators and development requirements reports. The reports described the scientific background of EP and ASO-S satellite engineering, The requirements for the six systems of scientific goals, payload configuration, and preliminary project plans and tasks; the National Space Science Center, as the overall project, laid out the preliminary arrangements for the comprehensive demonstration of the project. Representatives of the EP and ASO-S satellite engineering systems actively spoke, and they all expressed that they will continue to support the space science satellite engineering, cooperate closely, and complete the work of the comprehensive demonstration stage of the project as required to ensure the smooth establishment of the task.

Based on the different requirements of the scientific missions of the EP and ASO-S projects, Wu Ji, the person in charge of the space science pilot project and director of the National Space Science Center, pointed out to each system several aspects that need to be focused on the demonstration, and asked each system to sort out the tasks in a targeted manner The characteristics of the company, working together, coordinating research, completing the technical and economic feasibility demonstration work according to the plan and requirements. Xu Fanjiang, deputy director of the Bureau of Major Science and Technology Tasks, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the participating units for their attention and active participation, and pointed out that all participating units should attach great importance to completing the comprehensive demonstration work of the project with high quality, which will be the space science during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. Make preparations for the successful establishment of the satellite.

The convening of this meeting marked that the EP and ASOS satellite projects have officially entered the stage of comprehensive demonstration and project approval.
