EP and ASO-S satellite engineering project approval work exchange meeting was held in Beijing

On December 30, the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a special space science strategic pilot technology project (referred to as the space science pilot project) Einstein Probe (EP) and Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) satellites in Beijing Project establishment and demonstration work exchange meeting. EP and ASO-S satellite chief scientist, chief engineer, and from the Institute of Measurement and Communication, Engineering Design Institute of the Aerospace System Department, the First and Eighth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Aerospace Science and Industry Rocket Technology Company, the Institute of Microsatellite Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zijin Leaders and representatives of the National Astronomical Observatory, the National Astronomical Observatory, the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, and the National Space Science Center attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wu Ji, the person in charge of the space science pilot project and director of the National Space Center.

The meeting listened to reports on the progress and follow-up work plan of the EP and ASO-S engineering satellite systems, scientific application systems and ground support systems, and exchanged and discussed the work during the project demonstration period. Representatives of each system of the project actively spoke and all indicated that they would complete the project demonstration work as required. The chief engineer of EP satellite engineering Gu Yidong and the chief engineer of ASO-S satellite engineering Cui Jijun made speeches separately, and put forward requirements for the follow-up work of the project demonstration stage, and clarified the focus of work to strive for the early approval of the project.

Director Wu Ji asked the person in charge of EP and ASO-S satellite engineering demonstration management to assist the chief engineering engineer to organize various systems to implement the work to be determined as soon as possible, and strive to complete the system demonstration report before the Spring Festival, and complete the project comprehensive demonstration work by the end of March 2017.
